Safety is ALWAYS the first priority!
HomeSmart's ongoing commitment to safety is a company value that is reflected in the expert certified training we provide to our employees, our compliance with state and federal regulations, and the protection of our customers, their property and the environment.
To that end, safety is ALWAYS the first priority for HomeSmart personnel, including the technicians who visit your home to repair and perform maintenance on your furnaces and other important home appliances. In fact, where furnaces (and natural gas) are concerned, particularly during this time of year when people begin firing up their furnaces for the long winter months ahead, HomeSmart technicians take the following precautions with the customer’s comfort and safety in mind:
- When a HomeSmart technician finds a heat exchanger that is “cracked”, it is deemed unsafe and the furnace is recommended for replacement.
- If a HomeSmart technician does NOT see a crack, they will ALWAYS check for elevated levels of Carbon Monoxide and gas leaks
- A furnace that is NOT producing elevated levels of CO and has no gas leaks is operating safely at the time it is being tested.
- HomeSmart will NOT search “at all costs” to find a crack for the sole purpose of selling a customer a brand-new furnace that they do not need
At HomeSmart, we take pride in our technicians and their work, their immaculate safety record, and the communities that we serve throughout Colorado. We strive to be an industry leader when it comes to safety, and the fact that we have successfully been serving customers for over 100 years reflects our continuing commitment to providing a safe working environment both to our employees and our valued customers!
